See the small spool of thread in the picture??? That is what I went to the store to buy.
See everything else in the picture? That is what I brought home from the store.

However, I should like to point out that the serger cone was 50% off, and matched the stitching thread perfectly (which I didn't expect), and, as for the fabric . . . Snakeskin print rayon challis, 64in wide for $3..00/yd. How could I possibly have left that behind??
Skirt, or pants - what do you think?? I have 3.125 yds., and I'd love to hear specific pattern ideas!!
Hah hah! Happens to me early every time. I actually went specifically for serger cones and burgundy thread. Weird... Love the snakeprint, but I think skirt or blouse. Snakeprint pants are only for Steven Tyler. I think the princess seabed blouse you had fit in Austin would be pretty awesome.
ReplyDelete"seabed"?? WTF, autocorrect?? That should say "seamed" obviously.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I don't really like black so close to my face - totally washes me out. I was thinking of a loose, flowy skirt, and I could wear a blouse in a color in which I do look good.
ReplyDeleteYes, that would be lovely! You have plenty of yardage for a nice long one. It would be pretty with cream or gold.
ReplyDeleteGold?? I was thinking coral or teal . . .
ReplyDeleteYes! I can see that, too! Saturated colors are very trendy this fall, as are animal/reptile. You'll be so stylish!
ReplyDeleteAre you implying that I aren't stylish, generally???
ReplyDeleteThink carefully -- your inheritance of some 3000 spools of thread, and 6 file cabinets of patterns dating to 1971 could be at stake.
